Hot New Color Combos to Wear With Army Green | How to Guide
Army and olive green can be tricky colors to style. Maybe you have a pair of olive cargo pants in the back of your closet you aren’t quite sure what color top to wear them with or you have an army green jacket that you’d love to be able to wear more often.
Sure neutral tones such as black, white, or grey all work pretty easily with these shades of green but that can get a bit boring (especially for a color fanatic like myself) and doesn’t leave you with many other color options.
Below I show you three colors to wear olive green with that you might never have thought of, in addition to one look with earthy tones that pair well with these shades of green.
Army Green + Fuchsia
First up is my favorite color combo of the moment: army green with pink. And not just any pink, hot pink or fuchsia. I love the stark contrast here and how the bright pink feminizes the military green.
I chose to select just one item in fuchsia (these vintage pants) and kept the other pieces of clothing in olive drab to let the pants really pop. I also selected a purse (this one is by the vegan brand Denise Roobol) in this same shade of green.
To add some playfulness to the look I got a bit crafty. The bag’s handle is actually a chain necklace that I thrifted and turned into a strap and I made the ’90s style summer camp necklaces out of second-hand plastic beads.

Olive Drab + Lilac
For an ultra-modern color combo, team olive green with lilac. This combo is perfect for all seasons and is especially fitting for spring.
Dip your toe in this pairing by styling a lilac-colored accessory with some olive green clothing or you can do as I’ve done and go full throttle with lilac and just add some olive as an accent color.
Purple tones (especially lavender and very peri) are still super popular so give this combo a try with your favorite shade or a tonal purple look.

Military Green + Neutral Shades
If you’re a lover of all things neutral then military green also goes well with all your standard shades. Here I’ve mixed it with camel, off-white, and black with gold accents.
The earthy shades compliment each other and make for a palette-cleansing look.
Make your look pop for spring by keeping your top in a lighter shade such as cream, white, or khaki. This helps to balance the darkness of the green and brightens up your face.

Olive Green + Baby Pink
Another shade of pink I love to pair with olive green is baby pink. This is a softer option than styling olive with fuchsia so it’s ideal for those that like paler, less in-your-face tones.
Much like the purple look above, these green tones seem to work with all shades of pink (although my favorites are fuchsia, baby, and bubblegum).
Play around with your bubblegum and Barbie pink colored clothing and see what works best for your style and complexion.

Final Thoughts
Break out your favorite shades of pinks and purples and start mixing and matching them with army green. You’ll be pleasantly surprised as to how harmoniously these colors style together.
And if you’re not quite ready to embrace such bright shades, all the neutral tones look chic as well.
