The new (again) Gorpcore fashion trend is back! And while it might seem sporty and casual, it can also be styled in a glamorous way.
But I’ve gotten ahead of myself.
First, what exactly is Gorpcore?
Gorpcore, so named after the trail mix that’s popular among hikers called GORP (or Good Ol’ Raisins and Peanuts), is all about tapping into the utilitarian vibes of a classic hiking outfit. This aesthetic is all about wearing the pieces you would if you were going for a hike, but styling them in an intentional and fashionable way.
For Gorpcore clothing, think cargo pants, leggings, colorful jackets, and brightly-colored fleeces.
Gorpcore shoes might include vegan hiking boots, mountain shoes, trekking sandals (think Tevas with thick socks), or cute ugly dad sneakers (the sportier the better).
