Best Vegan Cowboy Boot Brands | No Fast Fashion
I know it can be challenging trying to track down the perfect vegan version of cowboy or western-style boots, as it might seem like there aren’t many vegan alternatives out there.
If your searches have been fruitless, then you’re in for a treat, as each of the vegan brands below has numerous styles to choose from.
And best of all, you won’t find any fast-fashion versions here! Here’s a selection of my top picks in no particular order.
Kat Mendenhall | Authentic Vegan Cowboy Boots
Source | Kat Mendenhall
This vegan brand specializes in cowboy boots, which is why, to me, Kat Mendenhall is the vegan cowboy boot queen!
Her various styles can be purchased as is or they can be fully customized for both women and men. You get to select the heel height, material and color, toe box shape, and stitching color.
If you’re looking for an authentic Texas-style vegan cowboy boot (that’s even made in Texas, by Texans 🙌), then this is your brand.
Pictured above are just two of the many styles this brand offers.

A Perfect Jane | Playful Vegan Cowboy Boots
Source | A Perfect Jane
I just discovered this newer Peta-Approved vegan brand while researching vegan cowboy boots and boy am I glad I did! They have so many unique and stylish designs.
I especially like their Jane ankle boots (pictured above) that are complete with fringe and in a military green color. The design feels like an abstract camo print that I find really creative and a cool mashup design for a western boot.
The brand also offers a taller cognac brown style (also shown above). The unconventional leaf vein stitching on the toe is such an unusual design feature that will make these cowboy boots stand out in a crowd.
A Perfect Jane also has several other styles available so check out their website to see all of their designs. When you fall in love with a pair, use my personal discount code HARMFREEFASHION20 to save 20%.

Good Guys Don’t Wear Leather | Classic Vegan Cowboy Boots

Whether you’re looking for classic brown or colorful options, high-heeled or low-heeled, tall or short boots this brand has you covered! Most styles are also available in both women’s and men’s sizes.
I’m personally loving the unique white version they offer (shown above), as white boots are wildly popular this year. I would style them with any of the looks I modeled above.

Styling Ideas & Veganized Looks from the Runway
Outfits featuring cowboy boots were plentiful at the A/W fashion shows and they even inspired a couple of my looks featured below. Keep reading to see how I veganized these runway looks and for some easy styling ideas.
High-Waisted Shorts + Dressy Blouse + Cowboy Boots
The Isabel Marant F/W 2021 fashion show was the inspiration behind this look and it can easily be imitated with cuffed high-waisted shorts styled with cowboy boots.
The most important thing to keep in mind when styling cowboy boots is to keep the western vibes minimal. For this look, that means only the boots and belt have a western feel to them. This is the simplest trick to keep your cowboy boot outfits modern-looking.
If you’re petite like me, you might be afraid to pair cowboy boots with shorts but with a few simple tricks, you can style them together no matter your height.
The first trick to pulling off this look is finding a pair of western-style boots that are loose-fitting so your legs look slimmer in proportion. Ankle-height boots also work best here to expose more skin.
Another trick is to select high-waisted shorter-length shorts that have a baggy fit as they help to balance the proportions. Also, opt for colored shorts rather than denim to keep the look from appearing too western.
And lastly, keep your blouse tighter-fitting (balloon sleeves notwithstanding) to offset the shorts and boots and draw the eye upward.

Faux Leopard Jacket + Rollneck + Balloon-leg Jeans + Cowboy Boots
Coincidentally, this is another look inspired by the runway shows, this time by Celine. Having all the necessary pieces already in my closet, it made putting this look together a delight.
The cropped balloon-leg style of these Kings of Indigo jeans (one of the many brands offering Peta-Approved vegan jeans that I featured in my Vegan-Friendly Jeans Guide) nicely highlight the cowboy boots.
While this post is about cowboy boots, the pièce de résistance of this outfit is really the coat. A faux leopard print jacket is the perfect addition to make for an endlessly chic style and it looks especially modern when paired with western boots.
And if you don’t already have an animal-print coat in your wardrobe, now’s as good a time as any to add this timeless piece to your collection. Style it like a neutral and you’ll wear it as often as a jean jacket.

Oversized Midi Dress + Ankle Cowboy Boots
An oversized midi dress is a fail-safe pairing for cowboy boots and it looks equally chic worn belted or left loose and baggy. Whether you select one in a solid color, floral print, or wild pattern you’re sure to feel confident wearing this look.
Top with a denim jacket for cooler days and style over skinny jeans when it gets unbearably cold.

Final Thoughts
Styling and/or finding vegan cowboy boots doesn’t have to be as difficult as it might first appear. It can be as simple as wearing them with a midi dress or a pair of jeans.
And hopefully these vegan brands provided more than enough vegan cowboy boot styles to choose from.
